Jude Munro AO - Chair VPA BA (Hons) Grad Dip Public Policy, Grad Dip Bus Admin, FAICD, National Fellow IPAA, Hon National Fellow PIA

Jude Munro is experienced in guiding large complex organisations as a non-executive director. She has served on 20 boards. She has been board chair of Australia’s fourth largest water utility, a director of a national aviation business, a development company, and a director of Uniting Care Queensland one of Australia’s largest not-for-profits with a $1.3 billion budget running hospitals and other services. She was the founding Chair of the Victorian Pride Centre Limited. She is currently Chair, Uniting VicTas, Chair, Victorian Planning Authority, Chair, Newcastle Airport and a Director, The Pride Fund and the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Jude also mentors CEOs. Her last CEO position was as CEO of Brisbane City Council for 10 years. She led the Council with its $2.6 billion annual budget, 9,000 employees and delivered major infrastructure projects, such as the Clem7 Tunnel and delivered bus and ferry services, regulatory and other municipal services for 1.2M people.

She has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia, given the keys to the City of Brisbane, in the Deloitte’s top 50 LGBTI executives, and awarded the IPAA Queensland Governor’s Award for excellence in the public sector and the UDIA Raymond J Peck Award for outstanding contributions and excellent service to Victoria’s urban development industry. She was named Victorian LGBTIQ Person of the Year in 2021 in the GLOBE Community Awards.
