Dr Loren Sher, Clinical Director - Victoria's Virtual Emergency Department @ Northern Health, Epping
Dr Loren Sher is an Emergency specialist and Director of the new Victorian Virtual ED. She studied a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand, Braamfontein (South Africa), from 1997 to 2002. In 2012 Loren studied Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine in Melbourne.
In Loren's previous role, she was the Director of the Northern Hospital's Paediatric Emergency Department. Loren's other career highlights include the development of a Paediatric HIV clinic in South Africa and the development of the Paediatric Emergency Department at The Northern Hospital.
Loren constantly seeks opportunities to deliver equitable, safe, and gold-standard care, particularly for vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Loren's recent medical adventures include exploring and creating efficiencies through the marriage of technology and medicine. Loren is enrolled in a PhD through La Trobe University, researching digital solutions in Emergency Departments.
